FreeFixer is a general purpose removal tool which will assist you when deleting potentially unwanted software, such as adware, trojans, spyware, rootkits and viruses. FreeFixer scans locations where unwanted software has a known record of appearing or leaving traces. The scan locations include your home page settings, the programs that starts when you reboot your computer, the HOSTS file, the programs that run on your computer, your browser plug-ins, etc. FreeFixer will also search for programs that are trying to hide. FreeFixer doesn't know which the unwanted files and settings are, so the scan result will contain many items you want to keep and perhaps some that you prefer to delete. It is up to you to decide, please be careful! If you remove a legitimate file you may damage your machine.
